AWAITING

Sometimes
I choose to skim the surface of the sea
Letting the waves pass me by
Soaking in the sun's energy
While the winds cool my soggy skin
I watch the diamond sparkles
Over gentle ripples
On the shifting crust of destiny
I just lie still
And let myself breathe

Its a gathering up of scraps
Torn loose in the anxious storms
A putting them all together
Just how they need to be
Until I'm whole enough again
To dive
Right into the unknown depths
Where infinite beauty lives
To swim around among sharks
Lungs bursting
Feet thrusting
Playing with jewel toned treasures
Reveling in their countless colours
Letting love come and find me
In spectacular serendipity
